First Progress Meeting of the PROMETHEUS Project
News │ PROMETHEUS first Progress Meeting was held in Berlin, Germany, hosted by Fraunhofer IZM
Berlin, Germany (29th March 2023). Prometheus Horizon funded action brought the team together during the first meeting that took place in Berlin, Germany.
During the meeting, the progress achieved during the first seven months of the project was reviewed. The next steps to follow to achieve the project objectives were also discussed with all the partners.
PROMETHEUS’ vision is to shatter the boundaries between quantum and neuromorphic photonic processing by building an integrated silicon photonic platform, able to accommodate the merits of both worlds; thus, paving new routes towards high performance computing and physical layer security. PROMETHEUS’ chips will provide the basis for a new generation of holistic neuromorphic processors and a new toolbox for quantum-enhanced security features such as quantum random number generation, directly from the same silicon chip.
PROMETHEUS is funded by the European Commission under the CL4-2021-DIGITAL EMERIGNG-01-07 topic.
